CISSP CAT simulator for iPhone

Train for the exam
that changes with you.

CISSP Vault runs a CAT-style adaptive session: the next question responds to your performance, the exam can end from 100 to 150 questions, and the result shows an ability trajectory — not just a percentage.

Why CAT is the product

A fixed mock cannot rehearse an adaptive exam.

The CISSP exam format uses computerized adaptive testing. A flat 150-question mock cannot recreate the uncertainty of changing difficulty and a session that can end at different lengths.

CAT first.
Deep review after every session.

The simulator changes what you see next. A 4,063-question bank gives it room to vary difficulty and domain coverage; structured explanations then show what to fix.

Adaptive exam simulator

Difficulty changes after every response while domain coverage stays aligned to the current exam blueprint.

Ability, not raw percentage

Track an adaptive ability estimate, confidence band and domain-level proficiency after each CAT session.

Every option explained

Learn why the best answer wins and why each distractor can look tempting under exam pressure.

A deep question bank

4,063 questions across all eight domains, with chapter drills, mixed practice and full exam sessions.

Readiness and weak areas

Questions before you start?

The essentials about the app, pricing, privacy and independence.

How does the CAT-style simulator work?

After each response, the simulator updates an ability estimate, selects the next question and keeps coverage aligned across the eight CISSP domains. Sessions contain 100–150 questions and have a three-hour limit. It is a training simulator, not the ISC2 scoring engine, and cannot guarantee a live exam result.

How many practice questions are included?

The iPhone app includes 4,063 practice questions across all eight CISSP domains.

What is included in the answer analysis?

Every question explains why the best answer fits and why the other choices may look tempting or be less appropriate. Key takeaways, exam technique and CISSP mindset traps are also shown where available.

What can I try for free?

The iPhone app lets you answer 100 questions free. Full access is an optional one-time lifetime unlock; there is no recurring subscription.

Does the browser test use questions from the app bank?

No. The browser test always uses the same fixed set of 10 independently written sample questions. It does not draw from or expose the app’s 4,063-question bank.

Which devices are supported, and does the app work offline?

CISSP Vault is currently available for iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Questions, explanations, CAT-style exams and study progress work offline without an account.

Is CISSP Vault affiliated with ISC2?

No. CISSP Vault is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ISC2.
